Emma’s work pulls inspiration from the natural world and is then re-imagined into contemporarylandscapes of her own. Drawing from her emotions and instinctwhilst using a variety of materials,mostly acrylic paint,pastels and graphite as her mediums.Emma’s work brings a sense of serenity and depth, balancing the chaos against moments of calm.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I am Interested in making the viewer feel some sort of connection or emotional response, and for them to then question that response and feel it deeply.

“There is something alluring about the vastness of abstract painting, it has no limitations, you can explore so many techniques and styles within it until you find your own voice. It’s visceral for me, a gut feeling and for me painting this way is how I can truly express myself.”
